The corner is breaking through
Rule 17 of the Rules of the game of football regulates the procedure for performing a corner kick.
Definition[edit / edit wiki text]
A corner kick is a way to resume the game.
A corner kick is awarded when the ball, having last touched a player of the defending team, completely crossed the goal line on the ground or in the air, and in accordance with Rule 10, a goal was not scored.
A goal scored by the opposing team directly from a corner kick is counted.
A goal scored in their own goal directly from a corner kick is not counted.
Procedure[edit / edit wiki text]
The ball is placed inside the corner sector closest to the place where the ball crossed the goal line, at the fixed flagpole.
The opponents are at a distance of at least 9.15 m (10 yards) from the corner sector until the ball enters the game.
The ball is considered in play when it is hit and it is in motion.
The player who has executed the kick cannot touch the ball until he (the ball) touches any other player or leaves the game.
Violations and punishments[edit / edit wiki text]
If the player who made the corner kick touches the ball again (not with his hands) before the ball touches any other player, the opposing team gets the right to make a free kick from the place where the touch occurred.
If a player repeatedly touches the ball with his hands: • If it is the goalkeeper within his own penalty area, the opposing team gets the right to perform a free kick from the place where the touch occurred; • If it is a field player or a goalkeeper outside of his own penalty area, then, depending on the place of the violation, the opposing team gets the right to perform a free kick or an 11 meter kick.
In case of other violations, the corner kick is repeated.
