Cosmonaut Roman Romanenko became the first Russian to shoot a video in space
41 year old Hero of the Russian Federation Roman Romanenko became the first Russian cosmonaut who, while on board the space station, performed and recorded a song composition from the repertoire of Mukhtar Khordaev, a singer and friend of Romanenko.
The clip was shot directly on board the International Space Station, where Roman was part of an expedition of astronauts that lasted from December last year to May 2013.
The members of this recently completed mission arrived safely on the Soyuz TMA 07M spacecraft, landing in the steppes of Kazakhstan.
Upon arrival home, Romanenko said that one day, resting and being in a good mood, he decided to support his long time friend Mukhtar Khordaev.
Therefore, he took a guitar, which was also used by astronauts from other countries on board the ISS before him, and recorded a cover version of Khordaev's song.
However, despite the fact that this recording was the first video clip recorded by a Russian cosmonaut from the ISS, a similar case has already taken place in the world practice, when Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield presented a cover version of David Bowie's hit Space Oddity.
The video in which Hadfield moved around the ISS with a guitar and sang has gained more than one and a half million views on Youtube.
Khordaev, having learned about the broad gesture of his friend, said that he was touched and grateful to Roman for his support.

Can I ask how, when every kilogram of cargo costs a lot of money, he dragged a guitar on board? :-)

elena, do you also hear the voices of strangers?
Only Roman's voice is on the recording, including the last word in English :)

The guitar is not fuel, not air and not products, it is brought once for many years.

Well, then exactly UFOs near the ISS will settle down!

I made this conclusion because the timbre of the voice was different.
Compared to the soulfulness of the song.
Perhaps I misunderstood the English pronunciation.

I just saw the ISS.
I'm amazed.
I thought that I would not notice, but probably only a blind person will not notice this Venus.

The virus that's with you, sleep a little) they bring anything to the ISS.
What the astronauts will wish, but the main thing is not the overall type of piano:).
