Opinions of football players and football specialists
"Ronaldo is the best football player in the world. ...
He is ahead of everyone, " - Alex Ferguson [76].
"Ronaldo is a footballer from another world.
It is difficult to find words to describe his talent, " Carlo Ancelotti[77].
"Coaching Ronaldo was the best thing in my coaching career.
He is the most professional football player I have ever known.
And I join Carlo Ancelotti's words that Ronaldo is a footballer of another planet, " Jose Mourinho[78].
"There is no more perfect player than Ronaldo.
He can play in any position.
He will always score, because he runs faster and jumps higher.
An amazing player.
Ronaldo will score his 30 goals in a season in any team, because he can do it himself, " Louis Saa[79].
"I love watching Ronaldo act on the pitch.
Cristiano has such playing qualities that sometimes it seems that you are not watching a real match, but a game on the PlayStation.
He is an amazing football player, " Emmanuel Adebayor[80].
"To be honest, I would like to see Cristiano at MU today as well.
He is a great player, irreplaceable, the best in the world, so there is no player in our team who would not regret his transfer to Real Madrid," Wayne Rooney[81].
"This player is the best in the world.
I liked our battles.
If I'm focused, I can beat anyone, but Cristiano was special.
I remember that once I almost got a groin injury, because he did a trick and forced me to sit on the splits, " Ashley Cole[82].
"I admire him, he's great.
He copes with the defense brilliantly, constantly improvises, " Mikel Arteta[83].
"Ronaldo has a good dribbling, a great sense of passing, he is constantly aimed at the goal.
Everyone likes him because he tries to do something that is considered far from mandatory in football, " Xavi [84].
"Yes, it is great.
But I didnot cross paths with him often, only a couple of times, and then in the middle of the field.
It was harder for the outfield defenders: I saw how difficult it was for them to predict what Ronaldo would do, especially when he was gaining speed, " Martin Skrtel [85].
"He is strong physically and well gifted technically.
In a word, he has everything, " - Rud van Nistelrooy [86].
"Ronaldo is the best of those with whom I had a chance to play together.
He's not human.
He is a machine, " Zoran Tosic[87].
"He is a fully balanced football player, and I canot name any weaknesses.
The game with his feet, his head, great speed — everything is with him.
Ronaldo is a great player who is ready to give all his talent for the good of the team.
And we are very happy that he is playing for us, " Joao Motinho[88].
"Cristiano is a great football player.
He has all the qualities of a great player, and besides, he plays very fast and relaxed.
He has a very strong stroke.
In addition, when Ronaldo takes a free kick, the ball flies along an unpredictable trajectory.
We understand that by giving him space on the field, we will almost doom ourselves to failure, " Lionel Messi[89].
"In my opinion, Cristiano is the best football player in the world.
I'm not saying this because we are friends and play together.
It's just that Ronaldo knows everything on the field...
Cristiano is a perfect, perfect football player, " Pepe[90].
"I think that this is the most comprehensively developed football player in the world.
Of course, it is a reference point for all players.
I wish I was at least half as good as Ronaldo" — Gareth Bale[91].
"Ronaldo is one of the most ambitious players I have met in my life.
He is eager to score in every match.
His technique and physical training are amazing.
He is a very versatile player who has a very strong shot and knows how to beat an opponent in a one on one fight.
In addition, he knows how to find free zones, knowing when and how to use them, " Xabi Alonso[92].
"Cristiano is the most versatile footballer in the world," Mesut Ozil[93] —
"There are always some discussions going on around Ronaldo.
This is its essence, this is the attitude towards it.
But at one point there comes a time when you need to be silent and just look at his statistics.
You just need to shut up and watch him play.
What he does on the field is just crazy.
A few years ago, Louis Saa told me that Ronaldo would be the best player for several years.
I answered him: "We'll wait and see," to which Saa again told me: "You should see how he works in training.
This is something incredible, " - Thierry Henry [94].
