Muse Band History
Muse Band History
The history of the world famous band Muse begins in England, or rather in the small town of Teignmouth.
In the early 90's, all three of them: Matt Bellamy, Dominic James Howard and Chris Tony Wolstenholme attended the same school, at that time they were 13 years old.
There they met, and realized that they all share a common passion for music.
At first, they all played in different groups, accumulated experience, and just mastered the instruments.
A little later, they decided to start their own band, getting together, they called it "Gothic Plague".
Over time, they changed many names and by 1994 they settled on"RocketBab Dolls".
Soon they recorded their first sing "Small Minded".
At that time, they already had their own fans among the locals.
A competition among young musicians and singers was held in their city, mostly rappers and pop singers performed there.
But our valiant trio decided to break up everyone there, and also took part.
After the first song, the audience began to applaud wildly.
People liked it and of course they won this competition.
Muse becoming
After this event, it was decided to change the name to "Muse"again.
For quite a long time, the band wandered around the nearby cities, performing in various bars and clubs.
But people didnot care about their music.
It was a difficult time for the guys.
By 1997, John Leckie was present at one of the Musa performances, having met young talents, he offered them his services as a producer.
At that time, the guys had almost already lost hope for the future of their group, and immediately accepted such an offer from John.
The first thing Lecky did was find the band a label "Dandy Records", which agreed to release their first mini album.
The album is released in a circulation of only 1000 copies, and it consisted of 4 songs.
People sold out the entire edition at concerts.
The producer did a good job and promoted the team at all kinds of festivals, where they were always greeted with ovations.
Popularity grew before our eyes.
Speaking at the "In The City" festival, they are noticed by several representatives from American labels at once, I offer them cooperation.
In 1999, they went to the United States, and signed a contract with the label" Maverick", along the way, they signed contracts with several other labels around the world.
In January, they release their second mini album "Muscle Museum".
After that, they appear in the charts of England and occupy not the last places there.
They are also starting to be played on Radio One.
Muse world fame
In November 1999, the full fledged debut album "Showbiz"was finally released to the delight of the fans.
At that time, Muse was constantly compared to the band Radiohead because of the similarity in style, but this album put the dots over the "And", and ended these comparisons.
The album was a dizzying success, it was released with a circulation of more than 700,000 copies.
In 2000, the band toured around Europe.
He performs at rock festivals, as well as opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fingers.
In 2001, the second album "Origin Of Symmetry" was released, with a circulation of 500 thousand copies.
The musicians added some classical music to the new album, which transformed their musical style very well.
Critics were pleased, and the album quickly hit the top of the charts.
In early 2002, Muse went on a tour, in which they recorded their first DVD concert "Hullabaloo".
In August, they return to England and start working on a new album.
At that time, the war in Iraq began, which influenced the musicians and their new compositions.
In September 2003, the guys released their third album "Absolution", which again broke all records for sales.
It was produced by John Kornfield and Paul Reeve.
The success of the group grew very rapidly.
Matt began to feel depressed about the absence of a lover, due to the fact that they were very popular, all the girls saw them only as stars.
This was reflected in the lyrics of the songs.
A little later, the album receives the status of a "golden disc" from the RiAA.
In 2004, they went on a tour in support of the album.
