Esports player
Like any other sport, esports requires sacrifices from players.
Before achieving decent results, the player must devote a lot of time to the game.
Esports is one of the most popular sports in the world.
But this is a sports paradox.
On the one hand, the main principles of any sport operate in it: clearly follow the rules, and let the strongest win.
On the other hand, an esports player does not need special physical abilities to win.
Reaction speed, strategic thinking, excitement – all this is realized by an athlete with a cyber prefix using a computer connected to the Internet.
In this sport, those who would not win in running, swimming or even golf under any circumstances can prove themselves.
Moreover, this is probably the only sport where gender does not matter: a fragile girl can fight any monster, trying on the image of an invincible knight.
At first glance, cybernetics and sports are completely incongruous things.
But a person is so arranged that he is cramped in a utilitarian framework – in addition to the benefits, he always wants something else, optional and frivolous.
Therefore, the pinnacle of modern pragmatism – computer technology has become the basis for computer games.
However, simple entertainment also does not make much sense if there is no place for achievements and competition in it.
As a result, computer toys very soon turned into a playground for sports battles.
As you might guess, online games appeared when the Internet appeared and began to develop rapidly.
It is believed that it all started with the network game Doom, which operated on a local computer network.
And the first league of cyber athletes appeared in the United States in 1997 thanks to the popular game Quake.
However, experts consider Counter strike to be the most popular online game that has turned esports into a phenomenon of the world order.
Modern online video games are divided into team and single player.
Team games are played by those for whom it is important to feel like a part of the team.
Team players believe that in the event of a victory, the celebration does not decrease, splitting into all team members, but on the contrary, it multiplies.
Single player games are chosen by ambitious players who want to be responsible for their own triumphs and failures.
They believe that nothing compares to the feeling of personal victory, if you won it in a difficult duel.
As a rule, every cyber player has his own favorite game, in which he is immersed for years.
An avid network player does not switch to other games.
All the updates that he is interested in relate only to his favorite game: changes, new maps, patches, etc.
Esports players participate in tournaments that are held over the Internet (online competitions) or in computer clubs (offline, LAN tournaments).
Online competitions are good because the player can participate without leaving home, and in several competitions at the same time.
LAN tournaments (from the Local Area Network, i.e. the local network) allow you to create equal conditions for all participants.
And secondly, they allow athletes to communicate with each other directly.
Players from all over the world come to such competitions.
Whether you are a team player or a convinced loner, computer games expand your living space and help you find friends in different countries.
Esports is a hobby profession.
This means that everything starts with a passion for some online game, and only when the player reaches noticeable heights in it, sports becomes a profession.
To cyber athletes are not trained in special educational institutions.
They hone their professionalism in virtual battles, and the best of them earn quite real money.
Cash prizes (each serious tournament has its own prize fund), support from sponsors and advertisers – these are the sources of income of a successful esports player.
The advantages of this way of earning money include trips around the world, wide communication with like minded people and the love of fans.
But there are also disadvantages.
Like any other sport, esports requires sacrifices from players.
Before achieving decent results, the player must devote a lot of time to the game.
In addition, you have to spend a lot of money on equipment: a computer of sufficient power with a good video card, a good monitor, a mouse, a microphone, headphones, etc.
Money is also required for trips to lan competitions that are held around the world.
And another disadvantage of an esports player's career is chronic physical inactivity.
However, as the professionals themselves assure, many of them are fond of active sports.
Chronic sitting at the computer will not lead to victory if it harms your health.
So the time devoted to movement can be considered part of the player's sports discipline.
As in any other sport, an athlete sooner or later decides to end his career.
However, the habit of playing can be embodied in another form.
It is noteworthy that many cyber gamers, leaving virtual games, switch to playing cards.
In particular, among poker players (and it is considered a very gambling and intellectual game), you can meet a lot of former cyber athletes.
Workplace
The player equips his main workplace himself, at home.
If this is not possible, he can play in a computer club.
Also, a professional player travels to other cities and countries where lan competitions are held.
Important qualities
The career of a cyber athlete requires high intelligence, strong nerves, good vision, quick reaction and good manual motor skills.
a cyber athlete should not only know the rules of the game he is playing well, but also be able to use many other computer programs.
Most of the players are (or eventually become) advanced computer and Internet users.
To successfully participate in the games, you need to know English.
Where to study for an esports athlete
You can master the game you like yourself or with the help of friends.
Answers to many questions are given by Russian language and English language Internet forums dedicated to games.

and there is also an interesting statistic that after 24 years the skill drops, because the reaction slows down.
The best years for this are the teenage years.
But it is not enough to have a skill in the form of a reaction, you also need experience, cunning, logic.

It is from the skill that everything depends.
Because if you put a "cancer" to play, then at least do not give him any super fancy devices(mouse, headphones, etc.), then nothing will come out of it.
In esports, you should rely only on your skill and team.
If you donot believe it, try to sit down and play something yourself.
For example, I play Hunter Strike, and I can say for sure that you are nobody without a skill.
Without it, you will not win a single tournament.

It does not depend on the skill at all, the main thing is whether you win the competition or not.
If you do not win the tournament, then you will remain without money until the next one, at this time you will have to pay for yourself.
