SECRETS AND RIDDLES OF ANCIENT EGYPT.
The mysteries and mysteries of ancient Egypt have long haunted mankind.
Trying to know them, people risked everything.
Now, after much work and research by great scientists, we can learn about some interesting facts.
Mysterious incidents related to the tombs of the pharaohs.
Egyptian Pyramids
There are more than seventy Egyptian pyramids, but only three of them have become the most famous.
These are the tombs of the pharaohs located in Giza - the pyramids of Khafren( Khafra), Cheops (Khufu) and Mekerin (Menkaur).
Most of the ancient legends, mysterious legends and inexplicable incidents are connected with them.
It is impossible to say with certainty that today all the secrets of the Egyptian pyramids have been solved, because their priests were very resourceful and inventive.
Perhaps our researchers have yet to unravel the mysteries of the Sphinx, and penetrate into the very essence of Egyptian architecture, science and magic…
Secrets of the pyramid of Khafren The height of this structure is 136.5 meters.
Its structure is relatively simple - two entrances located on the north side, and two chambers.
The pyramid of Khafren was built of stone blocks of different sizes, and lined with slabs of white limestone.
The top of the Pharaoh's tomb is made of beautiful yellow limestone.
It is not safe to try to penetrate the secrets of the Egyptian pyramids!
The proof of this is the event that happened to tourists in 1984.
An impressive queue stood in front of the entrance to the tunnel leading deep into the pyramid of Khafren.
Everyone was waiting for the arrival of the group, which went to a compact room with a sarcophagus - the tomb of Pharaoh Khafren, in which the mummy of the lord was once sealed.
It is believed that this pharaoh, in addition to his pyramid, built a mysterious man lion a Large Sphinx.
Finally, the tourists returned, but what happened to them!
People were choking with coughing, staggering from weakness and nausea, their eyes were red.
Later, the tourists said that all at the same time felt irritation in the respiratory tract, pain in the eyes, experienced severe lacrimation.
The victims received medical assistance, they were examined, but no abnormalities were detected.
People were told that probably the pharaoh's tomb was filled with some mysterious gas that had leaked into the tomb in an unknown way.
The tomb was closed, and a commission was urgently convened to solve this mystery of the Egyptian pyramid.
Experts have put forward several working versions - the appearance of caustic gases from faults in the bowels of the Earth's crust, the actions of unknown intruders and even the intervention of mystical forces.
But according to the most interesting version, one of the ancient traps equipped by priests against robbers could be located in the pharaoh's tomb.
The tomb of Pharaoh Mikerin
The Greeks called Khafra's son and heir Mikerin.
This ruler owns the smallest of the famous large pyramids.
The original height of the structure was 66 meters, today it is 55.5 meters.
The length of the side is 103.4 meters.
The entrance is located on the northern wall, part of the cladding has been preserved there.
The tomb of Mikerin also contributed to the formation of legends about the sinister secrets of the Egyptian pyramids.
In 1837, the pyramid of Mikerin was discovered by the English Colonel Howard Vance.
In the golden chamber of the tomb, he found a sarcophagus made of basalt, as well as a wooden coffin lid carved in the form of a human figure.
This find has been dated as belonging to the era of early Christianity.
The sarcophagus was never delivered to England, the ship carrying it from Egypt sank.
There is a legend that the Egyptians adopted some secrets from the Atlanteans who arrived in their country.
For example, it is believed that the mass and shape of the pyramid determines the effect it has on the cells of a living organism.
The pyramid can both destroy and heal from diseases.
It is known that the influence of the field of the pyramid of Mykerin is so great that tourists who have been in its critical zone for a long time soon died.
Some people entering the tomb of Pharaoh Mikerin, fall into a fainting state, sharply feel a deterioration in their health.
The Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu)
The records of the Greek historian Herodotus indicate that the tomb of the Pharaoh Cheops was built for more than 20 years.
During this period, approximately 100,000 people were constantly working at the construction site.
The body of the legendary pyramid of Cheops consists of 128 layers of stone, the outer edges of the structure were lined with snow white limestone.
It should be noted that the facing plates are fitted with such precision that it is impossible to insert even a knife blade into the gap between them.
Many researchers have tried to penetrate the secrets of the Egyptian pyramids.
Egyptian archaeologist Mohammed Zakaria Ghoneim discovered an ancient Egyptian pyramid with an alabaster sarcophagus located inside.
When the excavation was coming to an end, one of the stone blocks collapsed, and took several workers with it.
There was nothing in the sarcophagus raised to the surface.
Englishman Paul Brighton, having heard that many tourists visiting the tomb of Pharaoh Cheops complain of a deterioration in their health, decided to experience the influence of the pyramid on himself.
The indefatigable researcher penetrated directly into the funeral room of Cheops, which ended very badly for him.
After a while, Brighton was discovered and removed from there.
The Englishman was unconscious, and later he admitted that he lost consciousness from indescribable horror.
The mystery of Tutankhamun's tomb In the autumn of 1922 left its mark forever in the history of the development of archaeological science - the English archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun.
On February 16, 1923, Carter and Lord Carnarvon (the patron who financed this enterprise) opened the tomb in the presence of several witnesses.
In the room of the sarcophagus there was a tablet containing an inscription in the ancient Egyptian language, which was deciphered later.
The inscription read: "Anyone who disturbs the peace of the Pharaoh will be overtaken by death with quick steps."
When the archaeologist deciphered the tablet, he hid it so as not to confuse his companions, as well as the workers, with this warning.
Further events developed at a rapid pace.
Even before the Pharaoh's tomb was opened, Lord Carnarvon received a letter from Count Haimon, an English clairvoyant.
In this letter, the count warned Carnarvon that if he penetrated the secret of the Egyptian tomb of Tutankhamun, he would be waiting for an illness that would lead to death.
This message greatly alarmed the lord, and he decided to seek advice from a famous fortune teller named Velma The clairvoyant repeated Count Haimon's warning almost word for word.
Lord Carnarvon decided to stop the excavations, but the preparations for them had already gone too far.
Involuntarily, he had to challenge the mystical forces guarding the Pharaoh's tomb…
57 year old Lord Carnarvon suddenly fell ill just six weeks later.
At first, doctors believed that this disease was the result of a mosquito bite.
Then it turned out that the lord cut himself while shaving.
But anyway, the lord died soon after, and the cause of his death remained unclear.
This incident is not limited to the death of Lord Carnarvon alone.
During the year, five more members of this expedition die, who have penetrated the secrets of the Egyptian pyramids.
Among them were the conservation specialist Mace, the English professor of literature La Fleur, Carter's secretary Richard Befil and the radiologist Wood.
Mace died in the same hotel where Carnarvon died, and also for an unknown reason.
Before his death, he began to complain of bouts of weakness, felt melancholy and apathy.
Within a few years, 22 people who were somehow related to the excavations and research of the Pharaoh's tomb died suddenly and quickly.
It is strange, but a fact: Lord Canterville transported on the Titanic a perfectly preserved mummy of Amenophis the Fourth - an Egyptian soothsayer who lived in the time of Amenhotep the Fourth.
This mummy was removed from a small tomb, over which the temple towered.
Her peace was protected by sacred amulets, which accompanied the mummy on this journey.
Under the mummy's head was a tablet with an inscription and an image of Osiris.
The inscription read: "Wake up from the swoon in which you are, and triumph over all the machinations against you."
Why were the pyramids of Giza built?
Such majestic structures could be not only the pyramids with the tombs of the pharaohs.
The secrets of the Egyptian pyramids have not been solved to this day.
And yet there are some assumptions about their purpose.
Pyramids can be:
- encyclopedias of knowledge, a kind of treasury of Egyptian wisdom (the pyramids of Tenochtitlan);
- astronomical observatories;
- barriers against sand coming from the desert;
- architecture standards;
- alien information capsules;
- border fortresses and even a pier for Noah's ark.
And this is only a small part of the assumptions made about these architectural structures.
As you can see, the secrets of the Egyptian pyramids have still not been solved.
One of these unsolved mysteries is the fantastic speed of construction with which each tomb of the pharaoh was built.
Scientists have calculated it based on the life expectancy of the rulers, the time of the Nile flood, and other factors.
It turned out that every minute 4 blocks were mounted, and every hour - 240!
And this is only with the help of primitive mechanisms - levers, ropes, etc.
There is even an incredible assumption that the Egyptian priests possessed the secret of overcoming the law of attraction.
The secret of the Egyptian pyramids
It is commonly believed that the construction of the Egyptian pyramids was carried out by tens of thousands of people who worked in quarries, moved giant stone blocks to the construction site, dragged them up through the scaffolding, installed and fastened them.
But is it so?
Speaking at a symposium on Archaeometry, where scientists from various branches of science gathered, in Washington last May, a specialist in polymer chemistry, Joseph Davidovich from Barry University, painted a completely different picture, supporting his arguments with the results of scientific research.
He conducted a chemical analysis of samples of the stone that went to the construction of three pyramids.
Comparing them with the rocks found in the nearby limestone quarries of Turakh and Mohatam, from which, obviously, the material for these structures was taken, he found that the composition of the facing blocks of building stone contains substances that are absent in the quarries.
But in this layer there are thirteen different substances, which, according to J. Davidovitsa, "geopolymers" and played the role of a binding material.
Therefore, the scientist believes that the ancient Egyptians built pyramids not from natural stone, but from artificially made materials by crushing limestone, making mortar from it and pouring it together with a special binder into a wooden formwork.
Within a few hours, the material solidified, forming blocks indistinguishable from natural stone.
This technology, of course, took less time and required not so many workers.
This assumption is supported by microscopy of rock samples, which shows that limestone from quarries is almost completely formed by closely "packed" calcite crystals, which give it a uniform density.
The facing stone found on the spot, as part of the pyramids, has a lower density and is replete with air "bubble" voids.
If this stone has a natural origin, then we can assume places where it could have been developed by the ancients.
But such developments are unknown to Egyptologists.
The binder was obviously sodium carbonate, various phosphates (they could be obtained from bones or from guano), quartz and silt from the Nile - all this was quite accessible to the Egyptians.
In addition, the facing stone is covered with a millimeter layer of a substance that consists almost entirely of these components.
Among other things, the new hypothesis allows us to answer a long standing question: how did the ancient builders manage to fit stone blocks with such accuracy?
The proposed construction technology, in which the sidewalls of previously "cast" blocks can serve as a formwork for casting a new block between them, makes it possible to adjust them almost without creating a space between them.
The Riddle of the Sphinx
In the myths of Ancient Greece, there is a story about a winged half lion with a female head and chest.
The monster allegedly lived on a rock near the Greek city of Thebes.
It liked to ask travelers difficult questions.
If the person answered correctly, the Sphinx should have missed him.
And since there were no such people, the monster killed everyone in a row.
So it was until it met the traveler Oedipus.
Sphinx sprsil:
- Who walks on 4 legs in the morning, on 2 legs at noon, and on 3 legs in the evening?
- A person.
Oedipus replied.
- In childhood, which can be called the morning of life, the baby crawls on all fours, then stands firmly on his feet, and at the sunset of life walks with difficulty, leaning on the" third leg " - a stick.
The monster in despair threw himself off the cliff and died.
For getting rid of the Sphinx, the Thebans made Oedipus king.
In fact, this legend came here from ancient Egypt.
There is a statue of the Sphinx there to this day.
And he continues to make riddles.
The first riddle: what does the name of this monster mean?
"Sphinx "is a Greek word and it is formed from the Egyptian name" Shepes ankh " - "A living image".
But then the Egyptians believed that the stone monument... alive?
Here is what Russian researchers N. Glazova and V. Landa wrote about it, who observed the statue at different times of the day:
- During the day, illuminated by the sun, it does not cause the feeling of delight that is revealed when it is illuminated from below by searchlights at night.
Under the illumination from below, the meaningful and wise look of his huge eyes suddenly appeared clearly.
Apparently, the face was designed so that in the light of day, the unreasonable and greedy earthlings of past eras would not recognize a wise alien being in the Sphinx...
The Sphinx looks even more majestic during sunrise, which it meets with its head raised up, for several thousand years in a row.
He reaches a special beauty and wisdom at nine o'clock in the morning: it is not for nothing that in ancient Egypt the number " 9 " meant wisdom.
Then, when the sun rises higher and shadows fall on the stone face, the Sphinx "dies".
If we translate its ancient Egyptian name as a "Symbol of Life", it becomes clear that the stone statue lives in the same cycles as nature, where flowering is followed by withering, then comes temporary death - winter (in the tropics this is a period of drought), followed by resurrection.
And so it is from year to year.
So is a person: the body dies, and the soul continues to exist further.
The second riddle: how long has he been lying here?
Scientists have found out that the statue of the Sphinx and the pyramids behind it make up one architectural complex built on the same foundation, but the ancient temples were destroyed from time to time, others were built in their place much later.
Only the Sphinx has been preserved since prehistoric times, when there was no Egypt yet.
How do we know this?
First, over the millennia, this monument has been completely covered with sand more than once, which is brought by the wind from the Sahara desert.
In ancient chronicles it is reported that by order of the Egyptian pharaohs, the statue of the Sphinx in the Giza Valley was dug up many times.
The works were carried out in 1818, 1886, 1925, when only the head of the monument remained on the surface.
So, the Sphinx was created when there was no Sahara desert yet.
The scientist M. Lenner concluded from this that " The Sphinx was created a long time ago, when Giza was still green."
And it was 15,000-11,000 years ago, when the desert resembled "the hilly plain of modern Kenya and Tanzania".
The third riddle: why is he lying here?
First of all, the Sphinx is a monument to a vanished civilization.
When scientists carefully studied the face of the statue, it turned out that it belongs to a non existent race of people.
Outwardly, they were similar to Africans and Native American Indians.
Secondly, the monument is an accurate tool for astronomical calculations.
With its paws, it rests on the eastern side of the square, in which the rest of the buildings of the Giza Valley are inscribed.
If we multiply their parameters, the product will be equal to the duration of one cosmic year - 26,000 years.
The fourth riddle, not yet solved.
It turns out that there are underground rooms under the statue itself.
They were detected with the help of the latest acoustic equipment.
It remains only to get to the secret repositories of knowledge.
However, there is a prediction: when the world is on the verge of destruction, the statue will come to life and speak.
Then the Sphinx will tell you about all their secrets.
But then it will be too late.
We'd better get to know them now.
Defender of the Mystery of Time:
In ancient Egypt, the Sphinx had a nickname - "Defender".
From whom and what did he protect?
Scholar Heng Kok writes: "It protects the" Glorious Place of the Beginning of Time" and was revered as the center of "great magical power extending over the entire region".
Alas, the Defender did not protect the state of Ancient Egypt, but he kept his main secret - the secret of Time.
The Lion Era:
Each person is born under his "lucky star", or zodiac sign.
This constellation determines the character and fate of a person in the future.
All mankind has the same "lucky stars".
But they no longer determine the fate of individuals, but of entire nations.
The Egyptian Sphinx was created, most likely, in the era of Leo, which lasted from 10970 to 8810 BC.
Scientists call an even more accurate date 10450 BC.
At this time, the Sun was rising in the constellation Leo.
The ancient builders hoped that people in the future would also determine the time by the stars and find out when the Sphinx was built.
And they were not mistaken
The Secret Doctrine of Cheops
The greatest and most mysterious structures of antiquity are the Egyptian pyramids.
Meeting and seeing off millennia, they have not revealed their secret.
Today, the pyramids are just as exciting to the imagination as in ancient times.
Just 12 kilometers from the center of Cairo, the famous Egyptian pyramids at Giza rest in silent majesty.
You can see them even when driving along the outskirts of the city.
However, everyone who gets to Egypt strives to get closer to them in order to touch eternity.
We know from school that the famous Egyptian pyramids are the tombs of the pharaohs, who built them during their lifetime to protect their bodies from robbers and their souls from death.
The pharaohs allegedly believed that by keeping the body intact and intact, they would ensure eternal life for themselves.
And in order for them to live in the afterlife in a royal way, the chambers of the treasury were filled with various objects and gold jewelry.
So the textbooks claimed and claim.
But is it so?
The first person who told the world about the pyramids was the "father of history" - Herodotus.
He visited Egypt 2000 years after the proposed construction of the pyramids, in the V century before the Birth of Christ.
He was accompanied by a guide who, apparently, did not differ much from modern guides and therefore "lied like an eyewitness".
According to his guide, Herodotus told the world a story about the Pharaoh Cheops, who decided to surpass all previous despots.
Since Herodotus was more of a journalist than a scientist, he introduced the following piquant detail into his story.
The construction of a personal tomb ruined the people and emptied the treasury.
The money ran out, and I really wanted to finish building a funeral cottage.
And then Papa Pharaoh handed over his daughters to a brothel and installed a tax in one stone block for the pyramid in addition to the usual payment for services.
Considering the number of blocks in the pyramid (26 million pieces) and the fact that the pyramid was completed by the death of Pope Cheops, the girls had to work from dawn to dawn.
However, it seems that something is wrong here.
First, not a single mummy was found in any of the three pyramids in Giza, not a single hint of the funeral rite, no treasuries and treasures.
Secondly, not a single inscription has been found in the pyramids, which looks quite strange for the place of the last refuge of the great kings of Upper and Lower Egypt.
Thirdly, venerable Egyptologists are unanimous in the opinion that the Egyptians of the third millennium BC simply did not have the knowledge and technology to create such a large scale and high precision complex.
And in general, none of the Egyptian papyri that have come down to us says who built or how the three pyramids at Giza - Cheops, Chephren and Mykerin were used.
In the early 90s of this century, a Belgian lover of the secrets of Ancient Egypt, Robert Beauvel, made an interesting discovery.
One day, while observing the constellation of Orion, he suddenly noticed an amazing coincidence of the location of three stars in the Orion belt and the three pyramids at Giza.
However, when checking, it turned out that this match is inaccurate.
Buvel suggested that it was complete in the supposed era of the construction of the pyramids, that is, in 2600-2500 BC.
Thanks to modern computer programs, it was possible to reproduce the position of the stars in that era.
The stars assumed almost the exact position of the three pyramids at Giza.
However, the exact coincidence of the position of the pyramids and the stars of Orion occurred in 10500 BC.
By the way, the shape of the Milky Way in that ancient sky exactly repeated the outlines of the Nile riverbed.
The ancient Egyptians attributed this time to the Golden Age - the "First Time" of their country, when people were ruled by the gods.
Later, meticulous researchers suggested that in 10500 BC the complex on the Giza plateau was only marked out and partially built, and it was completed just during the reign of the pharaohs of the IV dynasty, about 2500 BC, as they teach at school.
What happened for 8000 years?
What kind of long term construction is this?
And who could carry knowledge through such a chasm of time?
There are candidates for this difficult role.
The Egyptian chronicles tell us that before the pharaohs we know, certain sages, known by various names, ruled, and for quite a long time, - Followers of Horus, Shining, Transformed.
According to the chronicles, these rulers possessed divine knowledge and were almost like gods themselves.
With the help of "magical technologies", they achieved immortality and ascended to the sky, becoming stars.
There is a hypothesis that successive generations have been looking at the sky for thousands of years, waiting for a certain sign for them alone.
When the sign was sent, the Egyptians began actively completing the 8000 year old plan.
And in just a few decades, they created the Egyptian civilization.
It appeared immediately, as if out of nothing, but with a full set of signs of high culture.
The basis of the religion of the ancient Egyptians was astronomy and astrology: the cult of the stars and their movement.
It is proved that observations of the stars were conducted in Egypt for many thousands of years, and, apparently, the Egyptians were super astrologers.
For them, the earthly world was a cast of the heavenly, and they believed that the more coincidences with the sky, the better life on Earth.
According to recent studies, they conducted initiations in the pyramids, that is, the introduction of carefully selected candidates to secret knowledge.
Presumably, they were initiated into the sacraments, with the help of which a person could become equal to the Egyptian gods.
And the Big Pyramid, apparently, was the place where the gods were made.
According to some theories, the same thing was done in Teotihuacan, Mexico.
The secrets of the pyramids did not give rest to medieval researchers either.
In 820, the Caliph of Baghdad, Abdullah Al Mamun, whose army captured Egypt, made the first successful attempt to penetrate the pyramid.
Al Mamun was a scientist and learned from ancient books that the pyramid of Cheops is a repository of knowledge of a certain powerful ancient civilization.
In addition to books, maps and star atlases, mysterious objects like "glass that bends and does not break" and "weapons that do not rust and do not become dull"were allegedly stored there.
To encourage his people to do long hard work, he started a rumor about the untold riches hidden inside the pyramid by the ancient king.
Having chosen a place, the Arabs began to hammer the northern side of the pyramid.
At that time, it was lined with heavy duty stone slabs that changed shades under the rays of the sun.
The facing stones were so strong that they withstood the onslaught of battering guns and steel tools.
Then the Arabs lit huge bonfires and, having heated the stones, began to pour water and vinegar on them.
As a result of superhuman efforts, the soldiers of Al Mamun broke a 30 meter tunnel in the stone and eventually got into the chambers of the King and Queen.
But the latter was completely empty, and in the royal chamber there was only a rectangular granite box without a lid.
A methodical survey of the premises one by one also did not yield anything.
And then the cunning Abdullah, fearing a riot, threw gold, secretly brought from Baghdad, into one of the passages of the pyramid.
It was found by the deceived excavators.
Almost 1000 years later, scientists who arrived in Egypt with Napoleon's army to describe the newly conquered country and its history also became interested in the pyramid.
They measured it as accurately as possible and found out amazing things.
Almost all the world constants of the Earth and the Cosmos, concerning time, distances, weight and volume, were laid down in the dimensions of the pyramid and its internal premises.
The Big Pyramid turned out to be a reference book about the universe.
The future emperor Napoleon himself expressed a desire to spend the night in the heart of the pyramid - in the Tsar's cell all alone (according to rumors, Alexander the Great once did the same).
His aide de camp said that in the morning Napoleon came out of the pyramid pale and visibly agitated.
When asked how he spent the night, Bonaparte replied that they would not understand and would not believe him anyway.
And already being a prisoner on the island of St. Elena answered the question: "And what did happen then in the pyramid? "
: "It doesnot matter, everything has already happened."
Today, the Big Pyramid is "stripped" and also deprived of its top.
The facing plates were used to decorate the Cairo mosques, and no one is going to re cover the pyramid.
But the new - golden peak can be seen at the meeting of the third millennium.
The intriguing effect of the pyramids
"Imagine a completely flattened bug living on the surface of the ball.
This bug can be endowed with an analytical mind, can study physics and even write books.
His world will be two dimensional.
Mentally or mathematically, he can even understand what the third dimension is.
But he will not be able to visualize this third dimension clearly.
A person is in the same position as this unfortunate bug, with the only difference that the person is three dimensional.
Mathematically, a person can imagine the fourth dimension, but he cannot imagine it.
For him, the fourth dimension exists only mathematically.
His mind is not able to comprehend the four dimensionality."
This recognition of A. Einstein is published in the collection of his scientific works.
The Miracle of Egypt
The greatest miracle of Egypt, which amazed people in ancient times, were the pyramids - these amazing artificial mountains, the tombs of ancient Egyptian kings.
They stretch for tens of kilometers from the modern city of Cairo to the Fayum oasis.
It is believed that by creating the tomb, the pharaoh provided his immortal spirit with an eternal home.
The first of the Egyptian kings who erected a pyramid over his tomb was the Pharaoh Djoser.
This most ancient pyramid of Egypt consists of six huge steps placed one on top of the other and decreasing upwards.
The creation of the world's first stone structure of such significant dimensions - and its height is about 60 meters is attributed to Imhotep, a remarkable medical scientist, mathematician and architect, vizier of King Djoser.
Apparently, the pharaoh himself was so pleased with the unprecedented tomb built by Imhotep, .
that he allowed the name of the architect to be carved on the base of his statue - an honor completely unheard of in ancient Egypt.
Much was unclear about the largest pyramid, built by the Pharaoh Khufu (or Cheops), who lived in the XXVIII century BC.
This huge pyramid has been standing for almost five thousand years.
Its height reached 147 meters (now, due to the destruction of the summit, its height is 137 meters).
Its grandiose size amazed everyone who had the chance to visit Egypt.
No wonder the first Russian travelers called the pyramids "man made mountains".
Near the pyramid of Khafra, a hill rises from the sand of the desert.
Its height is about 20 meters, its length is about 60.
This is the famous big sphinx the figure of a reclining lion with a human head.
"The father of horror" is the name of the big sphinx by the inhabitants of the desert.
He inspires people with a special fear at night, illuminated by a bright moon, when deep shadows give his features a special expressiveness...
On the ground and under water
In Central China, about 100 kilometers from Mount Xi'an in Shaanxi Province, there is a complex of giant pyramids, the height of the largest of which is estimated at almost 300 meters, twice as high as the Great Pyramid of Giza.
For the first time, the Chinese pyramids in the West became widely known back in 1947, when they were accidentally discovered by American pilots flying over this area.
Several pictures were taken, they were placed in newspapers, and then scientists tried to forget about the giant structures.
But, of course, not everyone has forgotten.
In 1994, the German researcher Hartwig Hausdorff managed to get into a closed area of the province of Shanxi and prepare a photo report about the pyramids, which have not been explored until now.
These structures are absolutely not peculiar to Chinese culture, and the age of the pyramids is unknown.
However, Hausdorff managed to find the diaries of two Australian traders who made their way to Shnsi in 1912.
They then happened to meet an old Buddhist monk who reported that these pyramids were mentioned in extremely ancient records stored in his monastery.
The records are about five thousand years old... according to Hausdorff's estimates.
the total number of pyramids in the region exceeds a hundred, all of them are made of clay, but over the past centuries and millennia, clay has not been inferior in hardness to stone.
