Page 1: Overview: Windows 10 The new Operating System With Windows 10, Microsoft is offering the latest version of its operating system, trying to interest millions of home users around the world.
Windows 10 is an important milestone in the history of Microsoft, as the software giant is changing the business model and strategy for the release of operating systems.
Windows and Office are now considered within the framework of the "Software as a Service" concept, the same office package will be distributed as a monthly Office 365 subscription.

As for the users, they will have to touch the cloud power of Microsoft.
The new Windows 10 benefits greatly from the cloud, the same Cortana service offers very useful features – of course, if users are interested in them.
Of course, Windows 10 will work fine locally, without connecting to the cloud.
Applications will be available for purchase in the Microsoft online store.
The Windows desktop has changed slightly compared to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
By default, you will get a Start button on the taskbar, a Cortana area, a button for calling virtual desktops, as well as pinned programs such as Windows Explorer, Microsoft and Microsoft Store.
On the right side of the taskbar are the usual icons for Internet connection, battery status, volume, etc.
Among the innovations, you can note the Notification Center icon, which was not present in previous versions of Windows.
But we will return to it a little later.
Of course, the taskbar can be configured quite flexibly, as it was under Windows 7.
Search Bar/Cortana can be minimized to an icon or removed altogether.
The same applies to the desktop overview icon, through which you can switch between virtual desktops.
The desktop itself, where the shortcuts and files are located, has not changed.
The widgets known for Windows 7 have not returned, and it is unlikely that we will see them in the future.
The basket icon, after long discussions and disputes, received a final and more angular design.
A completely new feature of Windows 10 can be called "native" support for virtual desktops.
Of course, there was such a possibility before, but only after installing third party applications.
In the case of Linux, virtual desktops have been a standard feature of Gnome for many years.
Finally, we have received such support for Windows.
Virtual desktops allow you to distribute work better and more efficiently.
For example, on one desktop, you can put only the programs necessary for work, so as not to be distracted, for example, by games.
A similar concept is offered by the Firefox browser, where you can group tabs.
Windows 10 Virtual Desktops
The taskbar also changes when switching desktops.
It is possible to display on the taskbar only those programs that run on the corresponding desktop.
But you can also choose to display all running applications in the taskbar, regardless of the current desktop.
But these settings do not affect the attached applications.
They will always be visible on the taskbar.

At this price, she will fail.
There are no games for DX12 yet and it is not expected, so you can still sit on Windows 7 for a couple of years!
