Home Hobbies and Entertainment Music - What you need to do to determine the key of the song What you need to do to determine the key of the song

When constructing a musical period (part of a piece), the chords are usually arranged in this order: T S – D T.
The first and last chords correspond to the tonic chord, which is built on the first stage of the scale.
According to this first stage, the entire tonality is called.
When playing a song, loop the performance on the first bar of the piece so that you can hear only the first chord.
Listen to the bass part.
As a rule, songs use chords in the main (unconverted) form, that is, the bass plays the first step.
Pick it up on any instrument (piano, guitar) in an octave available for performance.
Take your time, move up or down half a tone until the sound on your instrument coincides with the original.
Sooner or later you will find it.
Write it down on paper.
The notes on the black keys are written in two words separated by a hyphen: C sharp, E flat, F sharp, b flat.
Listen to the color of the first chord in the song.
Major and minor are the most commonly used frets, it is very difficult to confuse them with each other.
According to the mood, you can understand what kind of mood is in front of you: an upbeat major or a thoughtful, anxious minor.
But, if you have doubts, then consider one fact: some steps in a major sound as if overstated, elevated.
The name of the fret is written in a separate second (third) word after the name of the note, for example: C sharp minor, D major, g minor, B flat major.
Listen to the whole song two or three times.
From the second listening, play along with the chords that you can guess.
In this way, you will find out whether the work is written in the same key or there is a modulation in it.
In a number of songs, the key change is associated with the climax and is located a little later than the middle: before the instrumental loss, right in it or before the final verse.
A fresh anecdote
- Hey, waiter!
Well, I understand, wine - 20, salad 10, lunch 30.
But what is this "it turned out 60" and "TOTAL 120"?
- Well, then, it didnot work out.
