The foundation of CSKA (Moscow)
The football club CSKA (Moscow) was founded in 1911, the society of skiing enthusiasts (OLS) became the base for it, a football section was assembled there, on the basis of which 3 teams were created, all of them played in the class "B" of the Moscow championship.
The first official match of OLS was a duel against the club "Vega", OLS won with a score of 6:2.
In 1916, the team moved to the class " A " of the Moscow championship and played there from 1918 to 1922.
That year, the football players played under their own name for the last time, since all sports societies were closed in the USSR since 1923, departmental teams appeared instead of them, the OLS football players moved to the OPPV under the aegis of the Red Army.
In 1926, the Moscow championship in class "A" was won, in 1928 the name was changed to CDKA.
In 1935, the team again became the champion of Moscow and played a friendly match with the USSR national team, in which it lost 1: 3. In 1936, the first union football championship was held, the Moscow Army men as champions of Moscow, got into class A, and took 4th place in that championship, Moscow and Leningrad teams played in that championship, as well as Dynamo Kiev.

In 1952, the country's leadership decided that Soviet athletes should take part in the Olympic Games in Helsinki.
The football team at that Olympics was represented mainly by CDSA players, but the players did not overcome the group stage, and upon their return the army team was disbanded, coach Boris Arkadiev was dismissed.
In 1954, CSKA (Moscow) decided to restore, Grigory Pinaichev became the coach.
It was not easy to gather players for a new team, but it held its first match on April 5, it was held in Kiev, against the Grozny Torpedo and ended with a draw 1:1, in that championship the army took the 6th place.
In 1955, the CDSA beat Dynamo Moscow, and won the national cup, it was the first trophy after the revival, the next 2 years, the army men became bronze medalists of the championship.
In 1957, the club became known as CSK MO, and in 1960 it acquired its current name.

In 2002, CSKA (Moscow) became the national champion.
The following season, Gazayev was replaced by the Portuguese Artur Jorge, but the team's game worsened, and the Army finished the first round of the 2003 championship fifth.
