The National Development League 2022 is the third tier/division of British speedway for the 2022 season.
The Play Offs and Knockout Cup returned after being cancelled in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Team changes
Eight teams would compete for the season.
Armadale, Belle Vue, Berwick, Kent, Leicester and champions Mildenhall all returned.
Kent would switch venues from Central Park Stadium to the Sittingbourne Iwade Speedway Stadium on Raspberry Lane.
Oxford Cheetahs (Oxford) and Plymouth Gladiators (Plymouth Centurions) would also field junior clubs, bringing the total to eight.

Home win by any number of points = 3
Away loss by 7 points or more = 0
Away loss by 6 points or less = 1
Away draw = 2
Away win by between 1 and 6 points = 3

National Development League Knockout Cup
The 2022 National Development League Knockout Cup is the 23rd edition of the Knockout Cup for tier three teams.
It returned after being cancelled in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
